Law, leadership and civic engagement belong together. Explore an issue, examine evidence, take part in a mock election, and turn your learning into a community idea.
Start anywhere or follow all six steps. Learning activities may require your existing JURIS account. The public mock ballot does not require a learning account.

Find an issue
Choose a manageable community concern. Explain who it affects using public information—not classmates’ private experiences.
Try it: Write a three-sentence issue statement and one question you want to investigate.
Research before participating in the educational mock election. Check the current voting window on Lead the Way; keep your candidate selections private.
Alternative: Analyze a fictional ballot or explain an office without revealing a candidate preference.
Already registered with Lead the Way or JURIS? Use your existing student ID and registration email on the JURIS sign-in page. You may need to sign in again when moving between websites. Do not create a duplicate account. Public mock voting remains account-free.
